David has been helping his clients reach their unique financial goals for more than 38 years in the St. Petersburg area. He strives to build long-term relationships as he creates financial planning solutions for individuals and families. His commitment to providing the highest level of service and attention to detail has resulted in a growing number of loyal families being served by his practice.
After obtaining a degree from Emory University and a master’s degree from George Washington University, David spent six years in municipal government. His interest in solving financial problems led him to a career in the investment industry. David embraced financial planning early in his career and became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER professional in 1985. In 1998 he included technical analysis in his practice and has continued to be a student of that discipline.
David joined Raymond James in 2002. During his tenure here at Raymond James he has been recognized for his work with his clients by earning membership in both the Raymond James President’s Club and the Raymond James Chairman’s Council* (2002-2017).
David and his wife Becky have enjoyed living in the “Pink Streets” of St. Petersburg for many years. They are prolific art collectors which prompted them to add an addition to their home to accommodate some of their collection. They enjoy traveling and often find new art during their travels. They call Steamboat Springs, Colorado their second home and try to spend time there both in the summer and winter.
David has maintained a very active role in the community since beginning his career. Over the past years he has served as President and board member of Florida Craftsmen, President and board member of Sunrise Rotary, as well as serving as a board member for Leadership St. Pete, American Stage, Mainsail Art Festival, City of St. Petersburg Art Commission, St. Petersburg Art Alliance, The Warehouse Arts District Association, and Secrets of the Seas Capital Campaign.
