A graduate of Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida, Jeff received his bachelor's degree in business administration. In 2004, Florida Southern recognized Jeff with the Distinguished Graduate Award for his service to the college and to the community. This award is presented to two graduates each year. He has been in the financial services industry since 1984 and completed the Securities Industry Institute at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Jeff earned his Certified Investment Management Analyst ™ (CIMA®) from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 2018. The CIMA® certification covers essential investment management consulting topics such as asset allocation, behavioral finance, manager selection, and portfolio construction and, therefore, provides advisors with knowledge commensurate with high-level institutional money management consultants. Jeff recently earned the Certified Private Wealth Advisor® designation from the University of Chicago Booth School Of Business. The CPWA® designation, delivered by Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA) is the only advanced designation designed for financial advisors and consultants who work with high-net-worth clients on the life cycle of wealth.

Jeff has been with Raymond James since 1991 and was recognized for his leadership as Regional Vice President before resuming his career as branch manager of the downtown St. Petersburg office. He has been recognized as Branch Manager of the Year twice during his career, first in 1994 and again in 2001. To better serve his clients, Jeff partnered with Bill Hoyt in 2003 to form Hearn Hoyt Wealth Management. In 2006, Jeff retired from management at Raymond James to focus his time on the needs of his individual clients, their families, various endowments, and several foundations that rely on his advice. In 2014 David Ramsey, Managing Director Senior Vice President, Investments, joined the team to form Hearn Hoyt Ramsey Wealth Management of Raymond James.

Active in his community, Jeff was involved with Bayfront Health Foundation where he served as its Chairman for two years. He was a member of the Board of Trustees of Bayfront Health Systems, an independent not-forprofit healthcare organization, until its sale in 2013. Subsequently, he served as Vice-Chairman of the conversion foundation renamed - Foundation for a Healthy St. Petersburg - until 2015. The Foundation is a $200 million charitable organization funding various initiatives to improve health and education in St. Petersburg. He served as a member of the Investment Oversight Committee for the City of St. Petersburg for several years where he offered advice for the cities $400 million operating and immediate reserve funds. Jeff served on the boards of Academy Prep St. Petersburg and Florida Southern College. Jeff is past Chairman of the St. Petersburg Downtown Partnership. In addition, he is past president of the Rotary Club of St. Petersburg and volunteers as a mission coordinator at First United Methodist Church. Jeff is a member of the Kenya Mission Team at his church and has been to Africa three times in the past several years to help plan and build a medical clinic. Jeff also served as the founding President of the board of Bahamas Habitat and has led more than 20 mission teams to work in the out islands of the Bahamas. He has a strong commitment to the community and has served in many other organizations.

Jeff has lived in St. Petersburg for 49 years and has been married to Donna for 36 years. Jeff and Donna have three children, Jeremy, Meredith, and Jacob.
