With a diversified career in the financial services industry, David helps his clients get their financial lives in order so they are free to focus on what matters most. He specializes in retirement income planning, investment management and financial planning, offering clients a reliable touchstone when it comes to important decisions in their lives.
David began his career as a CPA with KMPG having earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Indiana University. David later held positions as the chief financial officer for a cable television company and a start-up manufacturing business.
When the manufacturing business was sold in 1998, David's father Kent asked him to join him as a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch. At the time, Kent was a 40 year veteran of the industry, having the reputation as one of the best stock brokers in the city of Cincinnati. The skill set that David brought to the team complimented those of Kent's as the world of personal finance had become increasingly more complex. In his 17 years at Merrill Lynch, David reached the position of Senior Vice President.
David joined Raymond James in 2015, drawn by the idea of a firm that allows advisors the freedom to serve their clients the best way they see fit. The Cincinnati native stays involved in the community he grew up in, and has served as president of Teen Challenge Cincinnati, a faith-based educational program focusing on men and women struggling with drug addiction.
David and his wife Barbara have two adult children, who are married, and one grandson, who has become the focal point for family gatherings. And it is those family gatherings that David covets the most when he's away from the office. David also enjoys yard chores that his peers have come to distain around the home ("There's nothing like a good hour of weeding to clear one's mind"). His latest hobby and growing fascination is beekeeping.
