Abbey joined the Hilltop Wealth Management team at Raymond James in 2024, bringing a wealth of experience from her background in public and nonprofit accounting.
She began her career with six years at PricewaterhouseCoopers, primarily in the audit division, with a brief stint in project management. As her family grew, Abbey transitioned to the nonprofit sector, becoming the Controller for the W. D. Boyce Council, Boy Scouts of America. For nearly fifteen years, she oversaw all accounting and back-office functions for the large Council. Concurrently, she served as City Treasurer for the city of Washington, Illinois, for three years.
At the Boy Scouts, Abbey managed the Investment Committee and other volunteer-led committees. She developed the Council’s Spending and Investment policies, guiding the management of their Endowment Fund. In her Washington City Treasurer role, she oversaw all investments and financial matters.
Abbey earned her Bachelor of Science in Business with a major in Accountancy and a minor in Finance from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She and her husband, Scott, both grew up in Washington, IL, where they still reside with their three children, Avery, Nolan, and Sadie. The family is heavily involved in many community sports and activities.
In her free time, Abbey loves spending time with family and friends. She attends Summit Point Church and participates in the local Young Life ministry.
