Since its founding in 1962, Raymond James has been guided by a bedrock principle: “The client comes first.” This was evident in its novel approach to the business of wealth, in which advisors and their clients worked as partners, creating long-term plans tailored to clients’ specific needs and long-term financial well-being. Eric shares this approach, using the diverse tools of finance to help his clients live their lives and pursue their goals with confidence. He provides direction and tools that clients can rely on as they pursue their financial goals and proceed through the phases of life.
Eric’s aim is to make a difference in the lives of his clients with his genuine care for their well-being and success. His consistent communication and follow-up reflect his commitment, and Eric meets with his clients both virtually and in person often to go over their questions and review their financial plans. He considers his financial philosophy to be disciplined, avoiding the impulsivity of market swings or media messages in favor of staying the course and keeping his clients’ ultimate goals in mind.
Eric is a graduate of Weber State University in Ogden, Utah, with Associate of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees in organizational communications: training and development. Eric has obtained Certified Wealth Strategist® (CWS®) designation from the Cannon Financial Institute. The CWS® designation is granted to professionals, like Eric, who have demonstrated an advanced understanding of wealth management and the knowledge to work effectively for clients with more complex wealth issues.
Prior to his partnership with Raymond James, Eric’s financial services experience began in 2004. He previously has worked at Wells Fargo Bank, Goldman Sachs and TAB Bank. In 2013, Eric transitioned to financial advising with his next role at D.A. Davidson, working directly with clients and providing full-service financial guidance.
Outside of the office, Eric stays driven. He enjoys traveling, playing sports, and spending time with his wife, Melodie, and two sons, Briggs and Lochland. He is also active in his community as a member of his church and a volunteer with the Cache Valley Chamber of Commerce. A lifelong Utah resident, Eric Grew up in Kaysville and now lives in Providence.
