Tim earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia and his master’s degree in personal financial planning from Georgia State University. Before that, he held the role of wealth advisor with Merrill Lynch for 16 years.
As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Tim is dedicated to helping his clients work toward their financial objectives by guiding them through the investment planning process set forth by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. The CFP® certification is one of the most respected financial planning credentials among consumers and the recognized standard of excellence in personal financial planning.
Born and raised in Atlanta, Tim can distinctly recall when the Falcons and Braves first came to town. He currently resides in Cumming with Anne-Michele, the love of his life. The pair’s shared passion for the mountains and sports brought them together, and they’re thrilled to now be building their forever home on a piece of land in White County, just north of Clermont at the foot of Wauka Mountain.
Tim has two wonderful sons, Perry and Drew. Perry graduated from the University of Georgia in 2017 with a degree in personal financial planning. He joined Tim’s team in January 2018, making an immediate impact by incorporating technology to assist with data analysis. Drew graduated in December 2018 with a degree in finance from the University of Georgia.
Tim and his entire family are diehard “Bulldawg” fans who bleed red and black. Every Saturday in the fall they can be found tailgating and watching their dawgs as they take the field. Tim, a past president of Cumming’s Kiwanis, stays active in his community through his involvement in numerous causes, such as Relay for Life, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Rainbow House and Alzheimer’s organizations.
Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, and in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board's initial and ongoing certification requirements.
