Adam Altwerger,

Senior Registered Client Service Associate

My lifelong fascination with finance began with my grandfather. As an accountant and a member of a monthly stock club, he and his colleagues would research promising investment opportunities. His passion for investing, paired with his motivation, tenacity, and intellectual curiosity, left a lasting impression on me and sparked my own interest in the world of finance.

Rooted in my Eastern European heritage, I carry a deep appreciation for tradition, family, and connection — values that shape both my personal and professional life. I enjoy building meaningful relationships and learning from the people I meet, always striving to ensure that future generations are well cared for.

My parents have also played a pivotal role in shaping who I am. For over 40 years, they’ve successfully run a medical practice, teaching me the importance of time management, organization, and prioritization — skills that are essential in delivering high quality service to our clients.

I earned my bachelor’s degree from SUNY Albany and hold both Series 7 and Series 65 licenses. Over the course of my career, I’ve had the privilege of working at JPMorgan, UBS, and Morgan Stanley — experiences that have deepened my understanding of the financial industry and strengthened my commitment to delivering quality service. What I appreciate most about Raymond James is its culture — one that values integrity, collaboration, and putting clients first.

Outside of work, I’m always seeking adventure. Whether it’s ziplining through the Catskills, soaring in a hot air balloon at sunrise, or scaling a skyscraper in Hudson Yards, I’m drawn to experiences that push boundaries (skydiving is still on the list!). Today, I live in Dutchess County, New York with my wife, Jacqueline, and our black Labrador, Larry.
