CFA® Chief Portfolio Strategist Asset Management Services

Nicholas Lacy serves as the Chief Portfolio Strategist for Asset Management Services (AMS) at Raymond James Financial. In this role, he oversees a team of research analysts responsible for setting the asset allocation policy for AMS discretionary portfolios (Freedom), the Raymond James Strategic Recommended models, and the UMA platform. Nicholas is a voting member of the AMS Investment Committee, the decision-making body for AMS products such as Freedom and Separately Managed Accounts. Additionally, he is a member of the Raymond James Investment Strategy Committee, which drives the firm's allocation recommendations.

Nicholas began his career in the financial industry in 1996 and joined Raymond James in 2006 as a Due Diligence Officer. He holds bachelor’s degrees in political science and finance from the University of South Florida and an MBA from the University of Tampa. In 2005, he earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is an active member of the CFA Institute, the Investment Management Consultants Association, and the Financial Analysts of Tampa Bay.

Before joining Raymond James, Nicholas spent a decade at T. Rowe Price and a year with National Planning Holdings, a subsidiary of Jackson National Life.
