Mike founded Irwin Financial, Inc. over 30 years ago. He began his financial planning career in 1983 with Kidder Peabody, Inc. before joining Raymond James in 1991. Previously, Mike was the executive vice president of an electrical distributor and a special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

Mike attended Penn State University, where he graduated with a B.S. in accounting. He had the distinction of being Joe Paterno’s first football captain at Penn State and was voted that team’s most valuable player. He appears as a guest host on a local television show, “The Nitwits.”

Mike has spent his life serving his community through various organizations. He and his wife, Gail, have three children and 12 grandchildren. He enjoys playing tennis and golf and spending time with his family.
