John Pascarella

Senior Vice President, Investments
Branch Manager

John E. Pascarella has 33 years of experience in the financial services industry. He began his career in 1984 with A.G. Edwards & Sons in Short Hills, NJ. In 1989, he established the American Financial Planning Company and served as Managing Director for five years. John moved his financial practice to an affiliate of Wells Fargo Advisors in 1994 and was promoted to Producing Manager responsible for the management of the New York, Connecticut and Manhattan territory. In 2005, John joined The Pascarella Group as a Senior Vice President of Investments with a direct focus on financial planning and management of client assets. In May 2018, John was offered an opportunity to move his practice and clients to one of the most prestigious Financial Firms, Raymond James and Associates and accepted the role of Branch Manager, Senior Vice President-Wealth Management in Morristown, NJ. John’s approach begins with building relationships. Recognizing where you are now and defining where you want to be is a significant part of the investment planning process.

John is surrounded by a beautiful family including his significant Karen, their two daughters Kristina and Colleen and their three grandchildren.

John’s philosophy is to maximize potential gains while utilizing conservative portfolio management. “In my 33 years of helping clients achieve their financial goals, many communicate that they have already built their wealth and that preservation of capital is preferred over higher rates of return. I find that over the long term, a lower risk strategy in equities can still yield a high potential rate of return because it generally retains more value in the inevitable down markets. Often a successful strategy involves what “not” to buy in order to avoid risk, even when it might seem like an opportunity”.

Community Service plays a key role in John’s day to day activities. He’s an active member of the New York Society of Certified Public Accountants. John received the President’s Award from the Millburn/Short Hills Chamber of Commerce and was awarded the Sr. Joan of Arc award from Morris Catholic High School in 2008. He’s active in multiple boards and committees for both Education and non-profit foundations.

John enjoys reading and spending quality time with his family. Unfortunately, one of John’s passions is Ice Cream but he believes he has that under control!
