Jon Paul Lentz is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional with Raymond James Financial, in the firm’s Mobile, AL branch. Jon Paul believes the cornerstone of a successful client/advisor relationship is the mutual trust and respect that develops overtime, and he is deeply committed to helping his clients pursue their long-term financial goals. He provides a comprehensive approach to wealth planning, risk management, and estate planning to families and businesses.
Prior to beginning his career with Raymond James, Jon Paul received his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia in Financial Planning. He began his financial services career in Jacksonville, Florida working as an advisor for Prudential. During this time, his wife (Erin), was offered a position with Fish and Wildlife Service in Fergus Falls, MN. Knowing he would one day get back to the financial services industry, he and his wife made the decision to pursue her passion as a wildlife biologist. While in Minnesota, Jon Paul worked as a project manager in the heavy highway construction industry. In 2020, the Lentz’s had their first child, Lena Mae, and jumped at the opportunity to move back south to the eastern shore of Mobile Bay. After the first few months of living here, Jon Paul knew this was home and made the decision to get back into financial planning. Raymond James was the perfect fit, as the values of the company aligned perfectly with Jon Paul’s comprehensive financial planning outlook for clients. Jon Paul accepted the position of Wealth Management Associate which allowed him to gain valuable experience working on over 100 financial plans for advisors in the branch. Jon Paul also passed the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Exam in November of 2022.
Originally from St. Marys, GA, now residing in Daphne, AL, Jon Paul is active in the community as a volunteer wrestling coach for Bayside Academy, member of the Mobile Bulldog Club, and attends 3 Circle Church in Daphne. He enjoys spending time with his family, saltwater fishing, hunting, Georgia sports, and all the activities living on the gulf coast has to offer. Jon Paul and his wife Erin, have two children, Lena Mae and Wilder, and a black lab, Gus.
