Andy Knowles is the founder of Knowles Private Wealth and a senior wealth advisor with Raymond James, in the firm’s McMinnville branch office. Andy believes the cornerstone of a successful client/advisor relationship is the mutual trust and respect that develops over time, and he is deeply committed to helping his clients pursue their long-term financial goals. Andy provides a comprehensive approach to wealth management, retirement planning, risk management and multi-generational wealth preparation to individuals, families, business owners and executives.
Andy employs the vast resources of Raymond James, one of the largest independent financial services firms in the nation, to bring the right expertise and tailored financial strategies designed to strive for his clients’ specific needs. He works diligently to assist his clients with dedicated and focused customer service and the intention of being their trusted wealth advisor for life.
Prior to opening Knowles Private Wealth, Andy worked 10 years of his career at First National Bank of Middle Tennessee/LPL Financial, in the Wealth Management department, where he grew the department into the top Wealth Management teams in the Middle Tennessee area. While at First National Bank of Middle Tennessee, Andy not only gained lifelong friendships, but he also achieved many accolades. Andy’s most recent, was being recognized in 2024 as Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisors* and Forbes Top Next-gen Wealth advisors in Tennessee*. Prior to LPL, and started his career at Edward Jones Investments. Andy also received his undergraduate degree from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, Tennessee.
Originally from McMinnville, Tennessee, Andy is active in the community with organizations such as the McMinnville Noon Rotary Club, past Chair and current board member of the Warren County Industrial Development Board, and also a deacon of his church. He enjoys watching his children play soccer, boating with his family and friends on Center Hill Lake and traveling with his family. Andy, and his wife, Chelsea, have two children, Parker and Kinsley.

The Forbes Next-Gen Wealth Advisors Best-In-State rankings, developed by SHOOK Research, is based on an algorithm of qualitative criterion, mostly gained through telephone and in-person due diligence interviews, and quantitative data.
