Our Commitment to Giving Back to the Community Takes Many Forms

Helping bring higher education to all

As adjunct faculty at the University of California at Santa Barbara (UCSB), Mitchell uses his teaching time to educate undergraduate students. KWM Wealth Advisory partners regularly volunteer their time at Pasadena City College and UCLA Extension, teaching investment and retirement seminars to the community.

Providing Financial Guidance for local nonprofits

KWM Wealth Advisory partners volunteer on the boards of several nonprofits, helping organizations establish planned giving programs that support individuals with physical, mental and emotional disabilities.

Helping the homeless

KWM Wealth Advisory partners and staff have served as board members and volunteers to help Union Station Homeless Services rebuild the lives of men, women and children, and to give much needed assistance to our homeless neighbors. Today, the nonprofit operates seven major programs at six facilities throughout the City of Pasadena, providing a full continuum of care to help homeless community members become stable and self-sufficient.

Enhancing the community

KWM Wealth Advisory partners have served on the board of Social Venture Partners Santa Barbara (SVPSB), supporting the organization’s mission to help local nonprofits build their capacity and sustainability. SVPSB pools resources and makes strategic investments that leverage each partner’s time, experience and financial support to build long-term capacity for the community’s nonprofits.

Supporting Equality and Inclusion

KWM Wealth Advisory supports the Anti-Defamation League of Santa Barbara. The mission of the nonprofit is combating discrimination and promoting justice  and fair treatment for all.
