Brad has worked in the financial services industry since 2002.
Brad received a B.A. degree in Religion from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, and a Master of Divinity degree from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota. Prior to beginning his career in financial services, Brad served as a parish pastor for 18 years.
Brad has earned the esteemed CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation. He also holds a Certificate in Financial Planning from The Florida State University and has received extensive training as a Trusted Advisor™ and in the practice of Values-Based Financial Planning™ from Bachrach & Associates of San Diego. Brad is a member of the Financial Planning Association.
In addition to holding Series 7 and 66 securities licenses and Minnesota State Life and Health Insurance licenses, Brad has achieved the Certified Investment Management AnalystSM designation through The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA®). He has also earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designation through the Center for Fiduciary Studies and The Wharton School. Brad is a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association.
Through the Irwin Graduate School of the American College, Brad has earned the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® designation. He has also completed the Endowments and Foundations Certificate through The Wharton School and IMCA. Brad is a member of the International Association of Advisors in Philanthropy and the Lake Superior Fund Raising Executives.
In his free time, Brad enjoys studying classical history and literature, running, travel, golfing, and skiing. He is a Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotary Foundation and is a Rotary Benefactor. Brad's wife, Dr. Jill Jenson, is head of the Department of Writing Studies at the University of Minnesota Duluth.
In Duluth, Brad is a member of New Life Lutheran Church, the Duluth Harbortown Rotary Club, and the Kitchi Gammi Club.
