Mike began his career as a financial advisor in 1997. He attended the University of Texas at Arlington receiving a BA in Management, with a minor in Finance in 1990. He completed the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNNER™ professional program at Florida State University earning his CFP^® certification in 2005.

Away from the office, Mike is an Ironman triathlete and enjoys participating in races throughout the state. He and his wife, Kassie, have 3 sons; Ryan, Jacob and Adam. They are active members of Cypress United Methodist Church.
