Lance Hocutt, M.S., CRPC®

Lance has more than 22 years of experience in the financial services industry. He established his practice in 1998, which became the Lance Hocutt Financial Group in September 2015.

As a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor, Lance has in-depth knowledge of the needs of individuals both before and after retirement, and he engages in retirement planning for a variety of important issues; some of these issues include sources of retirement income, employer-sponsored retirement plans, tax planning, retirement cash flow, asset management, estate planning and more.

Lance earned a B.S. degree in financial planning from the University of Alabama and a M.S. degree in financial planning from Texas Tech University. He is now seeking his doctorate in financial planning and is currently in the dissertation stage.

Dedicated to giving back, Lance has given his time and support to many different community events and organizations, including the DCH Breast Cancer Foundation, DCH Sports Medicine Fun Run, DCH Pastoral Care Fund, Tuscaloosa Mayor’s Cup, Read Bama Read, Tuscaloosa Half Marathon, and Tuscaloosa County School System. He is also the Adopt-A-School partner with Hale County High School through the West Alabama Chamber of Commerce, providing many events for the faculty, staff, and students of that school system.

He serves on the board of directors for the University of Alabama Medalist Club, Sweet Water Outreach, Harmony Highlands Singing School, and the Police Athletic League of Tuscaloosa.

Lance has been married to his high school sweetheart, Celeste, for more than 28 years. They have four children: Maggie, Laney, Will, and Jamie. Lance is a deacon in his church, and he also serves as a volunteer sheriff's deputy for the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's office.
