From the age of 17, Laura was drawn to the field of finance. She started working at NationsBank, and trained in every position, eventually rising as Executive Assistant to the Regional Manager. After graduating college, Laura became a stockbroker and financial advisor. As her career advanced, she became a Branch Manager for Raymond James and Associates in 2002. She then made the decision to open her own office within Raymond James in 2004.

For 20 years, Laura has brought her experience and dedication to help clients make smart decisions about their money. In 1998, she completed the rigorous educational requirements and received the Certified Financial Planner™ certification. She also holds Series 7, 9, 10, 63, and 65 securities licenses. She attended Florida State University, where she earned a degree in finance. Always expanding her business skills, Laura recently completed the CTI Coach Training Program, Co-Active® Coaching.

Today, Laura sees her work as providing more than financial planning or managing investments. It’s about making a difference in the lives of her clients. Specializing in the unique needs of widows, Laura founded Wealthcare4Widows®. This program integrates the traditional financial process with Co-Active® coaching to help provide a widow with immediate stabilization through organization activities and coaching conversations. By meeting a widow exactly where she is in her journey, Laura moves with a widow into long-term financial sustainability using a process in-line with a widow’s desires, values, and needs. She empowers them to make financial decisions and choices, providing encouragement and support as they participate in the process of managing and sustaining their wealth.

Laura comes from a long line of native Floridians and still lives near her hometown. She and her husband, Jimmy, have been together for over 20 years. They reside in Punta Gorda, with their son, Tyler, and lizard-chasing miniature dachshund, Lizzy. Laura loves planning detailed travel trips and having adventures, including paddle boarding and skydiving. She will try anything once! Everyday pursuits include cooking with friends, spending time with her book clubs, and getting in her 10,000 steps per day.
