Before joining Raymond James as a Financial Advisor in 2009, Fernando, worked for Smith Barney as a Senior Vice President for 12 years. He also practiced as a CPA with KPMG Peat Marwick in the area of corporate taxation from 1993-1997. Fernando graduated from Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1993 with a degree in accounting.

Fernando takes pride in community involvement. He serves on the Morton Arboretum Advisory Board. He is a former member of the Benet Academy Alumni Association board. He is a long time member of the Philippine Medical Association of Chicago Foundation. He and his family are members of The Compass Church in Naperville, where he serves on the Elder Board.

Born in Chicago, Fernando has lived most of his life in Lisle where he currently resides in the home where he was raised. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Margaret and their five children. The family enjoys travel, biking, tennis, as well as participating in school and church activities. They have recently taken up sailing during the summer months to bond with Grandpa Lou.
