Jeff Preusser has achieved a rewarding career in financial services by putting clients’ interests first and providing exceptional personal service. He takes a hands-on approach to each client relationship, making certain the appropriate strategies are put in place to help maintain a sound long-term plan. His years of experience in the industry have taught him how to advise his clients throughout various stock and bond market cycles, helping them understand the risks and rewards of investing, particularly during turbulent periods. Jeff fosters client relationships and carefully evaluates each client's financial circumstances that could impact the likelihood of long-term financial success.
Prior to aligning his practice with Raymond James in 2018, Jeff was affiliated with Morgan Stanley for nine years and served clients at Wachovia Securities for 11 years. He started his financial services career in 1996 as a member of advisor Mark Loftus’ team at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter and became a partner of the practice in 2000. In addition to servicing client relationships for professionals and business owners, Jeff oversees the distinct processes Loftus & Preusser Wealth Partners has refined over three decades.
He earned his Certified Financial Planner™ certification in 2003. This designation is a distinguished credential awarded to professionals who meet rigorous standards and agree to adhere to the ethical principles set by the CFP board when providing financial services. He graduated from Northern Illinois University with a bachelor's degree in organizational and corporate communications.
Jeff was born and raised in Chicago and currently resides in the western suburbs. He and his wife, Laura, have three children: a son and identical twin daughters. He enjoys being actively involved with his kids’ extracurricular activities, traveling, refining his grilling techniques and being an active member of his community.
