Matthew Kramer

Matthew Kramer,

CFP®, ChFEBC, AIF® Financial Planner, RJFS

Matt’s grandparents’ experience with Federal Benefits launched his journey in financial services. His grandfather enlisted in the Navy with just two ham sandwiches in his pockets, and his grandmother worked for the FDA.

After leaving the Navy, his grandfather hired a financial advisor named Scott, who helped optimize their benefits and finances. Inspired by Scott’s dedication, Matt became a financial planner. Prior to joining Raymond James, he has previously held various advisory and consultancy roles at Fidelity Investments, Charles Schwab & Co., Edward jones and Morgan Stanley.

Today, equipped with a client-focused approach and knowledge in Federal benefits, Matt is a seasoned financial professional with a passion for helping families achieve their financial goals. With over a decade of experience in the industry, Matt combines his long-nurtured acumen with a genuine commitment to his clients’ well-being.

On top of being a Certified Financial Planner professional and Chartered Federal Employee Benefits Consultant designee holder, Matt earned a degree in economics from the University of Maryland in 2013.

Matt volunteers with the Partnership for Animal Welfare and supports Pancreatic Cancer organizations – a disease he lost his mother-in-law to in early 2023. When not advising clients, Matt enjoys snowboarding, hiking, traveling, gardening and lawn care.

Originally from Burtonsville, Maryland, he now resides in North Potomac with his spouse, Amira, and son, Aiden.
