Michael Steven Martin,

CRPC® Managing Partner Wealth Advisor, RJFS

As a retired Major General in the United States Marine Corps, Mike brings a wealth of experience in leading individuals and organizations toward the accomplishment of their goals. He applies this experience as the owner and co-founder of M2 Wealth Partners, providing strategic direction for his team and overseeing the practice’s financial planning, business development and investment committee efforts. Mike is a Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM professional.

Mike’s interest in investing originated when he purchased his first stock at age 15, with money he saved from his summer employment. Mike will tell you, “While my friends were reading the sports pages, I was reading the business section and looking up stock symbols under the OTC column to see how much money I made that day.” Since his first stock purchase in 1984, Mike has remained an avid investor in the financial markets.

Mike received his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Massachusetts in 1990, and his master’s degree in strategic studies from the Army War College in 2014. He retired from the Marine Corps in 2024 after 34 years of service, both active and reserve, honorably serving his country in combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.

After serving for eight years as an infantry officer in the Marine Corps, Mike formally started his career as a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch in September 1998. In 2008, Mike joined UBS as a senior portfolio manager and first vice president, working in those roles until 2018 when he co-founded Paladin Wealth Partners and joined Raymond James. In 2025, Mike and his son, Ryan, founded M2 Wealth Partners.

Mike leverages the significant planning experience he gained in his 34-year Marine Corps career with his 40+ years of investing experience to provide sound financial leadership to his clients. He has extensive experience helping business owners navigate the complex process of selling their business, as well as advising high-net-worth individuals and their families on all aspects of their finances and investments, with a singular focus on helping them preserve what they’ve earned.

Mike lives in Southwick, Massachusetts, with his wife, Sandy. They have seven grown children and seven adorable grandchildren. In his “free” time, Mike enjoys swimming and cycling, as well as an occasional round of golf.
