Steuart A. Evans Jr,
WMS™ Senior Vice President, Investments Financial AdvisorCommunication a cornerstone of trust, and thus, a cornerstone of Steuart’s practice. When creating and managing a plan to serve someone’s greatest goals and financial well-being, he knows there is no substitute for listening well and communicating regularly. In his approach to client service, he is not a service provider, but a partner, helping his clients use their resources well and pursue their aspirations with confidence.
This connection to his clients is what drew Steuart to the business. He also comes from a family tradition of financial advising – his father was an advisor for nearly fifty years. Steuart is grateful he was able to work alongside him for nearly half of that time.
Steuart started his career in finance at Robinson-Humphrey, which became part of Smith Barney, and later with Wachovia and Wells Fargo. He joined Raymond James in 2017, drawn to the firm’s commitment to client-first guidance and expansive resources to serve clients’ specific needs. He works with a wide range of successful individuals and families and has a particular focus on serving the complex financial planning needs of business owners at transitional moments.
Steuart is a graduate of Auburn University where he earned a degree in business and management. He has also earned the Wealth Management Specialist™ professional designation, having completed training and examination on the principles of financial planning and wealth management.
Originally of Memphis, Steuart has lived in Hunstville for most of his life. He and his wife, Leslie, have two children. Outside the office, he enjoys the outdoors – golfing, hunting and fishing. He was on the board and executive committee of YMCA Huntsville for 11 years, is a Ducks Unlimited sponsor, member of the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame and is a lifelong member of the Episcopal Church of the Nativity in Huntsville.
