Max Mondonedo

Samuel (Max) Mondonedo,

AAMS® Financial Advisor

As a military brat, my family moved around every two to three years. Knowing this was a unique upbringing, my parents made sure I maintained roots in Maine, where they were originally from. I visited Maine almost every summer growing up, and we moved here permanently in 2008. Participating in clubs/sports from an early age, I continued to do so after the move. I was an Order of the Arrow member for Boy Scouts of America (BSA), high school co-captain/Maine Shrine Lobster bowl select for American football and placed in states for wrestling as a heavyweight.

I began federal service (Military Sealift Command) directly after graduating from Maine Maritime Academy in 2016 with a BS in international business and logistics. This adventurous career allowed me to participate in major naval exercises, like the Talisman Sabre in 2017 and RIMPAC in 2018, and several deployments which granted me leave to travel extensively to places like the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, Mount Everest in Nepal, the Taj Mahal in India, the Blue Lagoon in Iceland, Croatia, Italy and Malta. I concluded my time in the outfit as a supply officer (SUPPO).

My senior year at the Academy, I asked my mom, Kim Mondonedo, if I could join Mendall Financial Group. She informed me I needed professional, worldly experience before that thought could be entertained. After working and traveling to nearly 50 countries, working as a department head to over 30 personnel and discovering a passion for personal finance over seven years, I joined my family’s business as the fourth generation at Mendall Financial Group in spring 2023.

When I am not working you can find me slicing golf balls, shredding the gnar/ice, pumping iron, looking for my next travel excursion, cooking in the kitchen or struggling to win matches in Dota 2.
