Paul earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Albright College in 1959, then two Master’s degrees in Education Administration, from Temple University and the University of Arizona. He then returned home and worked in the Reading School District as a math teacher for nine years and as an administrator for 21 years.
Things took an unexpected turn in 1968, though. A financial planner friend told Paul that his pragmatic nature and professional dedication made him an excellent candidate for the financial services field. Paul took his advice and looked into the business, and soon joined Uvest, Inc., a local financial planning firm.
But he didn’t quit his day job. For more than two decades, he worked evenings and weekends as a financial advisor as well as putting in long hours at school. After he retired from the Reading School District, he earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 1990. In the same year, Paul cofounded Wyomissing Financial Group, LLC. In 2006, he earned a Certification in Long-Term Care.
Now both of his sons have followed in his footsteps and joined the business, and together they proudly help families realize their financial goals.
Family is always a main focus for the Marrellas. In his spare time, Paul loves spending time with his family and grandchildren. He is active in the St. Ignatius of Loyola Roman Catholic Church, where he serves as an usher.
Paul is an avid basketball fan and a loyal supporter of the Berks County Basketball Old-Timers Association.
Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, and in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board's initial and ongoing certification requirements.
