With a passion that grew out of coaching baseball for 22 years, DJ’s talent for working with his players openly and honestly was a natural transition to clarifying his clients’ goals, values and dreams.

“I have gotten very close to my clients,” he said. “We communicate frequently and have developed truly lifelong relationships.”

DJ’s financial services career began in 1995 as an advisor trainee at Paine Webber. One year later, he was a financial advisor with Smith Barney from 1995 to 2000, before beginning a 16-year journey with Wells Fargo Advisors. He joined Raymond James in 2016.

“With Raymond James, I am my clients’ trusted advisor, tending to every detail of their financial lives and serving as their coach in helping them recognize and reach their personal goals,” he said.

DJ holds Series 7 and 63 securities licenses and is insurance licensed.

He attended Eastern Illinois University in 1993 and also received certificates from Illinois Technical Institute Trading Program in 1994, in commodities, options and equity trading.

Among sports-related activities, and love for coaching baseball, DJ was head coach of Vernon Legion baseball and a member of the Warren Travel Baseball club before becoming its president from 2010 to 2013. He was the varsity pitching coach in 2014 at Warren Township High School.

DJ is currently a member of the executive committee at Rush University Medical Center Neurological Sciences. He is an avid fisherman and enjoys golfing.

Originally from Jacksonville, and growing up in Keystone Heights, Florida, DJ moved to Lincolnshire, Illinois, several years ago. He lives in Gurnee with his wife, Beth. They have four children, Daniel, Jack, Max and Reagan.
