Retirement asset management begins with a plan. We ensure that our relationship begins with a comprehensive review of your goals, risk tolerance and lifestyle.
We look forward to putting our expertise, outstanding resources, and personal service to work for you. Simply click on Contact Us on the right side of this Web page to let us know you would like to make an appointment to meet with us.
At McDonald & Barry Retiree Asset Management we don't believe in making promises we can't keep. What we do pledge is honesty, integrity and a personalized long-term plan designed to help you preserve and build your retirement nest egg.
While the one-on-one attention you receive from Jeff and Ned forms the core of your relationship with us, you obviously come to us for more than outstanding service. You depend on us for quality financial solutions within a framework that emphasizes your unique needs, not one-size-fits-all answers.
To that end, we are affiliated with Raymond James & Associates, Inc., a national, independent firm that shares our commitment to you. As a pioneer in financial planning and a leader in the industry with an international presence, Raymond James is dedicated to ensuring we have access to the investment alternatives and services you require. This gives us the power to work with you to select the most appropriate choices for your personal portfolio.
We believe that financial management is most effective when we, as professional advisors, coordinate services by working closely with your banker, attorney, CPA and insurance professional.

February 2014 – Erik (Sweden) and Arnaud (Belgium) both live with Sue & Ned while here in America as Rotary exchange students. They attend different high schools so enjoy a friendly rivalry. Actually, they enjoy each other and act like brothers.
December 2013 – Sue & Ned are so lucky to be within driving distance (3 hours) of grandchildren Brooke & Taylor & grand dog Simba. Not only do we get to spend Christmas with our son Jon & Nicola & Brooke & Taylor but we make ourselves useful babysitting as both Jon & Nicola work in the hospitality industry. There are days when they both have to work so Sue & Ned get Brooke & Taylor all to ourselves!
November 2013 – The famous Doo-Wops (Sue on left) get ready to perform. They have great fun performing for church and nursing home audiences. So far no record label has picked them up but they are free to do a world tour.
October 2013 – Erik (Sweden), Mirna (Croatia), Arnaud (Belgium), Gerardo (Ecuador), Maite (Brazil), and Paulina (Finland) learn about Halloween in America from Sue. Carving pumpkins was a new experience for all the Rotary exchange students.
September 2013 – Sue & Ned have lunch in LeHarve, France with Arnaud's parents. Arnaud is one of the two Rotary exchange students staying with Sue & Ned. On the same trip Sue & Ned visited the Rotary Club of Inverness, Scotland. Ned was hoping they would offer a bottle of scotch in exchange for the banner from Ned’s Rotary Club of Inverness, Florida – no scotch but they were very gracious.
August 2013 – Sue & Ned hosted a welcome party for 2013-2014 Rotary exchange students Maite (Brazil), Paulina (Finland), Mirna (Croatia), Arnaud (Belgium), and Gerardo (Ecuador).
June 2013 – Ned & Sue travelled to Prague to attend Zbynec's wedding (their 2000 Rotary exchange student). As groom Zbynec was free to show us Prague. The next day we went to a chateau in the countryside to enjoy Zbynec's wedding, dinner, and party. Again it was like we had never been apart. After the wedding we drove to Germany and met Oscar & Maria Fasold who were our landlords 40+ years ago when we lived in Germany. Sue & I thought Oscar and Maria were “old” when we knew them in 1971-1972 so we were thrilled to have coffee and kuchen with them in June.
April 2013 – Ned loves the water and volunteering with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. Here we are doing vessel safety checks. A great time to ask the boat owner about the strengths and shortcomings of his/her boat.
March 2013 – Sue & Ned meet a koala while visiting Jenny (their 1985 Rotary exchange student) and her husband Kuma and son Tallen in Australia. After meeting the koala we enjoyed a beach front birthday party with Jenny & Kuma’s clan. Whenever we are together it is like we live next door rather than on the other side of the world.
