Desiree Kelley has been working in the financial services industry for the last eleven years. She has experience in the education marketplace working with teacher’s pension and 403(b) retirement plans. While working with all of her clients, her goal is to address the investment planning process and introduce numerous topics of importance. Her focus continues to be retirement planning including long term care, Medicare, and social security planning.
She graduated with honors from Louisiana State University where she was very active in the school’s marketing and business organizations. She holds series 7, 6, 63, and 65 securities licenses as well as a Louisiana life insurance license.
Desiree is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, earning one if the industry’s most recognizable certifications. CFP® professionals are held to strict ethical standards to ensure financial planning recommendations are in your best interest. What’s more, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional must acquire several years of experience related to delivering financial planning services to clients and pass the comprehensive certification exam before they can call themselves a CFP® professional.
She also holds a Certification in Long-Term Care (CLTC) designation, which focuses on the discipline of extended care planning. CLTC designees adhere to a code of professional responsibility and understand that the issue of suitability is foremost in the proper implementation of long term care insurance.
Desiree is a member of the local Financial Planning Association and is currently serving as a board member. FPA of Greater New Orleans promotes universal acceptance of the value and necessity of the financial planning process. FPA members adhere to the highest standards of professional competence, ethical conduct and clear, complete disclosure to those they serve.
Desiree is involved in her community of Destrehan. She has volunteered with St. Charles Parish Soccer, Destrehan High School, and has served on several boards including St. Charles United Methodist Church’s CDO program and St. Charles Borromeo’s PTFO.
Desiree resides in Destrehan with her husband, Brent, and her children Elizabeth, Noelle and David III.
