After the bear market from 2000-2002 my colleagues and I sought a way to be more responsive to market volatility and, especially, to manage risk. While risk can never be eliminated, we persevered to develop a process that would better address market risk.
"My scuba diving adventures taught me discipline, which is critical to managing the perils of both the ascent and descent. Discipline, too, is vital in navigating the ups and downs of the investment and financial markets.
Attention to detail was also essential to our search for a 'better way.' Specifically, we explored new research methodology designed to be more forward looking. Our answer was the TEAM (Tactical Equity & Income Asset Management) Investment Process. This process helps to identify and emphasize investments which show signs of strengthening while minimizing or eliminating investments that have weakened.
We wanted to do more for our clients than placate them with the Buy and Hold philosophy of 'you are in it for the long run.'
We wanted to help them gain greater control over their future."
