With more than 30 years of industry experience, Mike Fields brings a balanced blend of professional expertise, disciplined analysis and practical perspective to the financial planning process. He works closely with clients to design and maintain strategies that simplify their financial lives while helping protect their lifestyle, family and assets. Mike focuses on aligning financial goals with financial decisions through comprehensive planning centered on asset preservation, sustainable growth and liquidity management.
As a Chartered Market Technician®, Mike applies advanced analytical tools and market evaluation methods to help guide investment decisions. He is also pursuing the Certified Portfolio Manager® designation to further strengthen his ability to design portfolios tailored to each client’s objectives.
A lifelong Georgian and the son of a minister, Mike has lived in many communities across the state – including Waycross, Newnan, Tallapoosa, Smyrna, Toccoa, Thomasville and Statesboro – and he has proudly called Cartersville home for the past 32 years.
A committed community leader, Mike has served on numerous nonprofit, state agency, association and educational boards and spent six years as mayor of Cartersville. Mike and his wife, Susan – married since 1989 and a retired schoolteacher – are proud parents of two daughters and enjoy traveling and spending time with the girls and their husbands.
Outside of work, Mike enjoys learning about US and world history, reading and writing fiction, playing softball and pickleball, practicing yoga and spending time with family, friends and his dog, Josie. He is an avid sports fan, following football, baseball, hockey and soccer. He especially enjoys supporting the Cartersville Purple Hurricanes and the Atlanta Braves.
Mike graduated from Waycross High School in 1984 and Mercer University in 1988 where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree.
