Michael Trinen has been in the financial services industry since 1982. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Colorado State University. Prior to joining Raymond James in 2018, Michael was with RBC Wealth Management as the branch director since 1997. He was named to the RBC Wealth Management's Director's Council in 2013. He has also represented Colorado as the Economic Education Chairman for the Securities Industry Association. In 2003, he earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation. He holds the Series 7, 8, 63 and 66 licenses and several state insurance licenses.
Michael was a leading force in starting the Breakfast Rotary Foundation in 1994. He is a past President of the club and a current member. Michael was given the Irv Wilson’s Founders Award for financial contributions to the Breakfast Rotary Foundation. He was awarded numerous Paul Harris Fellows.
Michael was also a member of the United Way Executive Board of Directors and was a guiding force behind starting the United Way of Fort Collins Foundation with the goal that the foundation would provide the overhead to operate the organization and, that one hundred percent of donations would go to the beneficiaries of the United Way community.
Michael was also instrumental in bringing the Flag Ship program to Colorado students’ state wide. The stock market game has taught thousands of students from fourth grade to twelfth grade why we have a stock market, and what it means to the prosperity of America. Michael was also an adjunct professor at Front Range Community College as well as at Colorado Mountain College in Steamboat Springs.
In his free time, Michael enjoys golfing and traveling, taking trips on his Harley and spending time with family.
