Mike Witt

CFP®, CRPC®
First Vice President, Investments
CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER

Mike has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and specializes in retirement income planning. His goal is to help his clients have the confidence in their ability to retire and enjoy the life they envision. He focuses on the issues people are concerned with when they transition from accumulating wealth to the distribution phase, in particular, creating a retirement income stream to replace that regular paycheck.

The many facets of retirement planning Mike addresses include portfolio management, Roth conversions, IRA distributions, required minimum distributions, Social Security maximization, Medicare options, pension planning, tax-sensitive withdrawal strategies, long-term care and legacy planning. Seeing his family involved in the investment industry, Mike developed an early interest while growing up. His college internship under his uncle’s supervision at Merrill Lynch only confirmed that this was his calling in life.

After earning a bachelor’s degree in finance from Florida State University, he held training positions at A.G. Edwards and BankSouth Investment Services. He spent 10 years at SunTrust Securities, where he held the title of Vice President, Investments; and nine years at Wells Fargo Advisors (previously Wachovia Securities), where he held the title of First Vice President, Investments. In 2014, Mike moved into his current role at Raymond James.

Originally from Annapolis, Maryland, Mike lives in Cumming, Georgia, with his wife, Natasha, and children, Alexander and Sandra. He is a member of Highlands Church and serves as a volunteer for the Forsyth County Humane Society, as well as several orphan and foster care charities.
