Market Outlook 2019
The Millstone Evans Group of Raymond James and a large number of clients were joined by two dedicated pioneers with in-depth understanding of how global progress is being made in the socially responsible investing space, despite political headwinds in the United States. If you were unable to attend the event at The Dairy Arts Center in Boulder, Colorado, we invite you to view the full program or highlights from the evening below.
About our guests:
Flying in from the United Kingdom, Bruce Jenkyn-Jones is Founder and Co-Manager of Pax Global Environmental Markets, which was started in 2008. The fund invests in companies around the world that are directly impacting resource efficiency and environmental solutions. Bruce's background alone is fascinating; he holds an MBA from IESE (Barcelona), a Masters of Science in Environmental Technology from Imperial College, and a degree in chemistry from Oxford. Bruce recognized early on that businesses would need to play important roles to solve environmental challenges.
Interviewed by Sacha Millstone, Senior Vice President, Investments, was Aniket Shah, the first Head of Sustainable Investing for Oppenheimer Funds. Previously, Aniket was the Program Leader of the Financing for Sustainable Development Initiative at the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network, where he was responsible for working with governments, investors, corporations and NGOs on ESG integration and sustainable development financing issues. Much of his work focused on the Paris Climate Accords, which he attended. Educated at Yale, with a doctorate from the Oxford University's Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment, Aniket started his career as an Investment Strategist at Investec Asset Management, and emerging markets-focused investments firm based in London and Cape Town. Aniket also serves as the Chairman of the Board of Amnesty International USA.
