To Stephen, there is nothing more important than validating the trust his clients have placed in him. Along with his business partner, Kim Ohler, he offers financial and retirement planning as well as portfolio management. They consider themselves the “go-to” people for any and all money-related issues.
“I am all about planning, preparation, preservation and provision of cash flow,” Stephen says. “I believe it is my responsibility to alleviate my clients’ financial worries whenever possible. I consider my clients as family.”
A seasoned financial advisor, Stephen began his career in 1977 with Merrill Lynch in Tucson, Arizona. During his tenure with Merrill Lynch, he earned several internal designations relating to financial planning and portfolio management. He joined Raymond James in 2017.
“I respect the time, sacrifices and effort it has taken my clients to become successful,” he says. “I am fortunate that my profession allows me to address the financial concerns of people I care about.”
Stephen attended Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, Stephen lives in Tucson. He has served on the board of directors and/or as a member of the investment committees of Tucson Community Foundation, United Way of Tucson, the Tucson Scottish Rite, Old Adobe Arabian Horse Association and the Tucson Wildlife Center. Stephen is also a 32nd Degree Mason.
Stephen has a wilderness cabin in Alaska, “Wolfsong,” which provides considerable opportunity for adventure as well as an environment free of electronic “noise.” He has developed a loyal following to his annual “Alaska Letter,” which usually depicts some humorous aspect of his Alaska wilderness experiences.
He has been “owned by German Shepherd dogs for over 40 years and currently serves two” – Eva and Rhett.
