Save yourself a trip to the ER – take advantage of Virtual Visits
Virtual Visits let you see and talk to a doctor from your mobile device or computer without an appointment. Most visits take about 10 to 15 minutes, and doctors (in most states) can write a prescription to pick up at your local pharmacy. There are three providers to choose from under the UHC umbrella: Teledoc, Doctors on Demand, and Amwell. All providers are in-network and you can download an app to access your provider from your phone.
Did you know that the average emergency room visit cost is 40% more than a month's rent?
Some of the many conditions that can be treated by Virtual Visits include:
- Cold and flu
- Joint aches and pains
- Pink eye
- Sinus infection
- Sore throat
- And more!
Log in to myuhc.com to register from the provider sites. You pay $50 per visit under both plans until you meet your deductible.

TeleMental benefits are now available
New to the United Healthcare Member Portal, associates now have access to connect with a behavioral health provider virtually. These virtual visits are covered as a standard part of the behavioral health outpatient office benefit. Virtual visit services must be delivered via technology that is compliant with applicable federal regulations, including HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and HITECH (Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act). Eligible network providers can be found via provider search on myuhc.com.
TeleMental Health virtual visits (like a regular office visit) will vary in cost depending on the provider type. The cost of the visit will be applied to your deductible. To estimate the cost of your virtual visit, you can use the myHCE (myHealthcareCostEstimator) tool found on myuhc.com.
