• Edward C. Baldwin Sr.

    Managing Director

    Senior Vice President, Investments

Naming the firm Opus Capital Advisors represents the culmination of many years of experience and hard work – bringing together what Ed believes to be what is best for the clients of the Opus team. Collectively, the focus is on providing excellent service through great work within a well-rounded investment advisory experience.

Entering the University of Florida, Ed knew he would pursue the financial industry as his career and earned a bachelor’s degree in finance. Coming from a family heavy in the medical field, Ed finds that he naturally brings to Opus a similar concern for the well-being of the team’s clients, acting as their financial doctor. He truly enjoys working alongside clients, serving them and striving to take care of all of their financial needs with integrity and passion.

Ed is an investment adviser representative who specializes in portfolio management, financial planning, estate planning and holistic wealth management consulting. His goal is for clients to feel they are working with someone who truly cares, and who works extremely hard to help meet their goals while providing exceptional service at every turn. Always available to his clients, Ed aspires for clients to feel confident knowing the Opus team is taking care of them and their family by looking out for their best interests.

With more than 30 years of industry experience, Ed was a managing director with J.P. Morgan and Bear Stearns, as well as a vice president at Merrill Lynch and SunTrust before joining Raymond James in 2013. He feels the firm is a special place because it allows advisors to focus on clients and their needs, versus product.

Holding an executive degree from the University of South Florida’s Trust School, Ed is also an active member of his community. His family belongs to Christ the King Catholic Church in Atlanta and Our Lady of The Lake Catholic Church in Cropwell, Alabama. Over the course of 12 years, Ed has consistently coached baseball and softball at Murphey Candler, as well as serving on the Murphey Candler Girls Softball Association Board for 10 years running.

Born in Chicago and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Ed lives in Brookhaven, Georgia, with his wife, Keely Rae, and their children, Anna, Chad and Izzy. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, traveling, running and coaching high school trap, skeet and sporting clays as an NRA Level 1 coach.
