As the founder of the Palm Avenue Wealth Advisory Group, T.J. provides strong leadership to our team. Known for his clear and thorough communication style, T.J. works closely with clients to ensure every aspect of their financial planning is addressed. His focus is on helping families and individuals preserve the wealth they have worked hard to build while strategically pursuing their goals. With more than 30 years of experience, T.J. brings deep insight into the needs of small business owners, professionals, and high-net-worth clients.
T.J. has earned the Private Wealth Advisor designation from Raymond James, reflecting his expertise in managing the complex financial concerns of families, individuals, and organizations of significant wealth, as well as his mastery of strategies and resources to support their expansive financial interests.
He began his financial services career in 1993 with Barnett Bank, where he advanced to branch manager and later complex manager. He then served as Senior Vice President and financial advisor at Smith Barney before joining UBS, where he earned recognition as a member of the UBS Director’s Council. A member of Raymond James President’s Club, T.J. holds Certified Exit Planning Advisor, Private Wealth Advisor, and Wealth Management Specialist designations. He holds bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, where he played four years of collegiate baseball as a left-handed pitcher for the nationally ranked program.
Outside of work, T.J. is passionate about mentoring young athletes and giving back to his community. He coached the nationally ranked Tampa Mustangs girls’ fast-pitch travel softball team, winners of the 2015 National Championship, and recently stepped down from coaching at Lakewood Ranch High School after leading the team to back-to-back State Championships in 2021 and 2022. T.J. also serves on the Foundation Board of the Safe Children Coalition, a nonprofit providing education, prevention, and child welfare services—including adoption and foster care—across Sarasota, Manatee, and DeSoto counties.
T.J. grew up in Stony Brook, NY, then Boca Raton Florida and today lives in Myakka City, Florida with his wife of over 30 years, Liz. They have two daughters, Kinsey, and Avery, whom they enjoy spending time with locally and in Sugar Mountain NC. In his free time, T.J. enjoys golf, traveling, poker, wiffleball, racquet sports, and follows a wide range of team sports.
