Dwight served in the United States Air Force from 1990 to 1995. He attended the University of South Florida where he earned a degree in Finance, which led him to the financial services industry. His first job out of college was as an Advisor at Dean Witter/Morgan Stanley, where he began working with qualified plans, such as 401(k)s. The experience and enjoyment of providing solutions with corporate benefits led him to taking a position at Raymond James & Associates in 1999. He went on to become the Director of Retirement Plan Consulting in 2003.
In 2006, he became the Director of Business Development at Principal Financial Group, specializing in Defined Contribution, Defined Benefit, ESOP, and Nonqualified plans. Given his background and experience in both qualified and Nonqualified plans, he was promoted to the South East Regional Vice President, specializing in Nonqualified Deferred Compensation Plans. With the knowledge he had gained with Nonqualified plans, Dwight returned to Raymond James in 2016 to grow the Nonqualified business at Raymond James Financial, Inc.
Dwight’s role today is to help Raymond James advisors work with their business clients to find executive funding solutions to help recruit, reward, and retain key employees. With 22 years of experience with both qualified and Nonqualified plans, Dwight specializes in finding solutions to meet the needs of the business owners and their executives. Dwight actively helps with the design, implementation and informal financing of Nonqualified deferred compensation plans. He works with a wide range of leading advisors and their business clients to help them reward their key people and plan for retirement on a tax-advantaged basis.
Dwight lives in Wesley Chapel Florida, a suburb of the Tampa Bay area, with his wife and daughters. His hobbies include hiking, fishing, rafting, and camping. His family enjoys rock and fossil hunting and have found some large and unique specimens across the U.S. While traveling on vacation they will often dedicate one day to go find something in the local area that might be of interest.

Jason graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor degree in Business, and earned his Master’s in Finance from the University of Tampa. Jason joined Raymond James Bank, an affiliate of Raymond James & Associates, Inc., in 2015, but has been helping people find suitable and affordable borrowing solutions and cash management options for more than 10 years.

Boyd Nelson studied law at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. His studies were concentrated in the areas of estate planning, business and tax. He received his Juris Doctor degree in 1996. Prior to that he attended the University of Missouri where he received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a double emphasis in Corporate Finance and Real Estate.
Boyd joined Raymond James Trust N.A., an affiliate of Raymond James & Associates, Inc., in the fall of 1996. After serving in an administrative capacity, Boyd started marketing for the organization in the southwest area of Florida. Soon his responsibilities were increased to include the Midwestern states. In 2004 New York Life recruited Boyd to create and implement their marketing program for New York Life Trust Company. In 2005 Raymond James Trust N.A. brought Boyd back to launch their marketing effort to the Western United States.
Boyd is a member of the Florida and St. Petersburg Bar Associations and is active with the Tampa Bay Estate Planning Council, a professional organization of estate planners. Boyd is a Certified Trust Financial Advisor, a graduate of the American Bankers Association Graduate Trust School and a licensed Financial Advisor. He is a frequent lecturer to Financial Advisors, Attorneys and CPAs concerning estate taxes, the use of trusts and their places in estate plans.
