With more than 32 years in the financial services industry, Kemper offers his expertise to help clients pursue their personal and financial goals.  He enjoys fostering personal relationships based on trust with each client.  He aims to serve as a reliable source of guidance and support as they create their desired legacy.

Kemper has attained the prestigious CFP® certification, one of the most respected financial planning credentials and the recognized standard of excellence in personal financial planning. CFP® professionals complete a rigorous and comprehensive program, encompassing the financial planning process, tax planning, employee benefits and retirement planning, estate planning, investment management, and insurance.

He began his financial services career in 1992 at Merrill Lynch.  Kemper previously spent five years as an insurance agent with Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance.  He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Virginia Military Institute.

Kemper was honorably discharged in 1987 after three years of active service in the United States Army as a Ranger.  He served in the Reserves until 1991.

Kemper is a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church.  Previously, he served on the board of directors for the Museum of the Confederacy.  Currently, he serves on the board of governors for the Virginia Military Institute Keydet Club.  In his spare time he enjoys golfing, hunting and fishing.  Originally from Charlottesville, he lives in Richmond with his wife, Allison. They have three children: Conrad, Caleb, and Libba.
