Brian graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business and has been helping clients build and preserve their financial futures for over 30 years. He began his career with The Heitner Corporation in St. Louis, Missouri. In 1998 he opened an Investment Centers of America, Inc. office in Sparta, Illinois, located within First National Bank of Sparta. In 2017, he expanded his presence to better serve clients in Carlyle and the Clinton County area, offering appointments at 1NB Bank locations in Carlyle and Aviston.

As part of his ongoing commitment to providing comprehensive financial guidance and service, Brian transitioned his clients to Patton Wealth Management in 2017. Brian’s move to Raymond James in 2025 reflects his continued focus on delivering quality financial solutions and personalized service. This transition offers Brian’s clients access to an even broader range of investment strategies, planning tools and resources – all backed by one of the nation’s most respected financial firms.

Brian’s approach to financial advising is centered on relationships. He takes the time to understand each client’s unique goals and develops a customized financial plan to help guide them toward long-term success. Whether planning for retirement, managing investments or building generational wealth, Brian is committed to helping clients feel informed, confident and supported every step of the way.

Raised on a working farm in Oakdale, Illinois – where his family grew corn, beans and wheat and raised livestock – Brian learned the value of hard work and responsibility from a young age. He and his wife, Dana, have been married since 1996 and live in Bartelso with their three children: Alexis, Jacob and Avery.

Outside of work, Brian enjoys family life, especially supporting Avery’s volleyball and basketball teams at Mater Dei Catholic High School. In the fall, the family makes regular trips to Oxford, Mississippi, to visit Jacob at college and cheer on Ole Miss football. Brian also loves traveling and has created lasting memories on trips to Scotland, Ireland, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Costa Rica, Alaska, Hawaii and along the Gulf Coast. In 2025 Brian and 10 family members traveled to Finland and Estonia for a wedding of a former exchange student.

Brian is active in his community as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Cecilia Church in Bartelso, a member of the Bartelso Knights of Columbus and a mentor with the Clinton County CEO program, where he supports local students pursuing entrepreneurial paths.
