Internet Privacy Statement

Raymond James is committed to online privacy.

Visitors may browse the Raymond James website to learn about our many services, get delayed quotes and find career opportunities. Personal information is made available through the use of cookies (as further detailed in the “Cookies” section below) or when site visitors enter such information through our website. For instance, visitors may enter their contact information through our Contact Us page to request that a Raymond James financial advisor contact them. This information is sent to the financial advisor through e-mail and is not collected in any other format. Additionally, information entered into the site may be processed by third parties to:

  • Provide the requested services (e.g., if a ZIP code is entered for the Office Locator system, Google and other third parties may process the ZIP code to provide the closest Raymond James offices); and/or
  • Provide advertising about their products and services. For more information on how to opt out of such advertising, please see the Cookies and Third-Party Embedded Components sections below.

Website visitor information (with respect to non-clients) is collected by Raymond James with the use of computer IP addresses on an aggregate, anonymous basis, in which no personal information is associated with the data. This data is gathered through the use of web server log files where site activity is stored. The information is used to help diagnose problems with our server, measure the use of our website content, optimize the configuration of our website, build our website’s audience, and administer our website. None of the information gathered by the web server is associated with a site visitor as an individual. Although this contains no personal information other than the IP address, it may be used to track down an individual who is attacking or misusing our resources. Cookie files are used on the site to help visitors navigate the site more easily as described further below.

Cookies

This website may use cookies (small text files that identify your device to our network) and/or, clear GIFs, tags or pixels (electronic image files) placed by Raymond James or third-party providers (such as advertisers). Cookies and similar tracking technologies are widely used to make websites work efficiently, to collect information about your online preferences, and to customize content and advertisements you receive.

We may use cookies to customize content, provide social media features, count users who have visited our pages, see how visitors navigate our website, improve the services we offer you, and to deliver customized advertising content, which may include the placement of ads about our products and services on other websites and services.

We may also engage third party analytics and advertising providers to track and analyze your usage of our website through the use of cookies. These providers collect and share with us usage information about visits to our website and, sometimes by correlating this information with other information (such as your IP address), help us track page usage, target our recommendations and advertising, and measure and research the effectiveness of our recommendations and advertisements.

Our website analytic and performance services providers include (but are not limited to) the following:

You can learn more about each type of cookie we use on our website and choose which cookie categories you wish to allow by visiting our Cookie Statement page. Additionally, you may opt out by broadcasting the Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) opt-out preference signal from your browser and/or a browser extension supporting the GPC signal. To download and use a browser supporting the GPC signal, see here: https://globalprivacycontrol.org/orgs. If you disable or refuse cookies or similar tracking files, some features on our websites may be inaccessible or not function properly. Additionally, because there are multiple versions of opt-out preference signals, our websites may not respond to signals other than GPC. Instead, you can use the aforementioned cookie preferences page to express your preferences. To ensure your choices take effect, you may need to also adjust your privacy choices with third-party sites, as further addressed below.

Third-Party Embedded Components

To allow visitors to share content of this website through their social media channels, we may build our own components which connect with social media APIs or we may use third-party provided APIs. We also may embed content to deliver news, videos and other features. These third parties may also set cookies. Below is a list of sharing and embedded content and how to opt-out of embedded components.
