Attracted to the financial services industry after he realized he could apply his communication skills and his rigorous background in engineering, scientific and financial analysis, as well as benefit his clients and community, Larry was convinced it was the right fit for him. And he was right. He is a more than 30-year veteran with extensive industry experience working with clients to help them reach their goals.

Larry and his team joined Raymond James in 2016 after spending his prior years with Morgan Stanley/Smith Barney and with Merrill Lynch. Earlier in his career, Larry was a business development manager with General Electric in Gainesville, a market development manager with Gould Inc., in Rolling Meadows, Florida, and an operations research analyst with Bell Telephone Laboratories, a division of Lucent Technologies, in Murray Hill, New Jersey.

Larry graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Drexel University in Pennsylvania. He earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, and a Master of Science degree in operations research from Columbia University in New York City.

Forthright and steadfast, his goal for his clients is a simple one: help them to achieve their financial objectives. “First, I seek to understand before I am understood. I have always been intellectually curious, honest and persistent,” he says.

Larry’s wife, Peggy, is a native of southern Indiana. Their son, Erich Dominic, is pursuing graduate studies in environmental policy and public administration at Indiana University after residing in Tianjin, China, for nearly two years.

Larry was born and raised in Burlington, New Jersey. He moved to Gainesville in 1978 after residing in Chicago and northern New Jersey.

He has been an active Rotarian since 2007. He was past president of the Greater Gainesville Rotary club from 2013 to 2014, past president of Leadership Gainesville Alumni Association and Gainesville Innovation Network and a graduate of Leadership Gainesville XIX. He was founding president of Junior Achievement of North Central Florida and an instructor at Alachua County Community Education for Wealth Creation/Personal Investments from 1982 to 2007, and Estate Planning since 1991.

His avocational interests include studying the history of the financial markets, reading biographies and also studying American, European and Chinese histories.

Larry holds Series 7, Series 66 and Series 31 securities licenses and is life, health and variable annuity insurance licensed.
