A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional with over 13 years of experience and co-founder of Purpose Wealth Management, Kyle Blackwell has the accumulated knowledge and perspective to help you pursue your financial goals. He has attained the prestigious CFP® certification, one of the most respected financial planning credentials among consumers and the recognized standard of excellence in personal financial planning.
Kyle’s journey to become a financial advisor began his freshman year of high school. While sitting in a career planning class, the teacher asked each student what they wanted to be when they grew up. When it was his turn, Kyle answered, “I want to be a stock broker!” His journey continued into his college years at Southern Wesleyan University.
While at SWU, Kyle co-founded an investment club and began interning at a myriad of financial planning firms. The investment club further enhanced his passion for investing, but more importantly, the internships made him realize the tremendous impact financial advisors can have on the lives of the clients they serve. After graduating magna cum laude with degrees in both business and accounting, Kyle began his career as a financial advisor.
Throughout his career, Kyle has endeavored to create meaningful relationships with a select group of clients and provide them with personalized financial planning advice using some of the industry’s most comprehensive resources. He worked 12 years with Edward Jones and he now employs the vast resources of Raymond James, one of the largest independent financial services firms in the nation, to bring the right expertise and tailored financial strategies designed to pursue his clients’ specific needs.
His investment process takes into account your investing experience, your expectations for returns, your tolerance for risk and the performance of your portfolio. Based on what he learns about you and your goals and an analysis of the current financial markets, Kyle designs a customized investment portfolio made solely with your best interest in mind. He then takes the time to explain his recommendations and, once you are comfortable with your new plan, Kyle puts it into action. Future conversations provide opportunities to adapt to life changes and new goals. Implementing these strategies involves working with his clients’ CPAs, attorneys, and other professionals to design a plan and make appropriate adjustments along the way as their needs evolve.
Kyle is a member of Foothills Church and serves on the board of directors of Collins Children's Home and IMPACT Pickens County.
Kyle’s wife, Sonya, has been with him throughout the entire journey (yes, even his freshman year of high school). Together with their two children, Blaire and Keegan, they enjoy exercising, sports and outdoor activities.
