Jerry entered the financial field in 1970 by teaching economics and finance at Saint Joseph High School in Metuchen, New Jersey. From 1979 until 1983, he worked in the teachers’ 403(b) market, eventually handling a broader array of investment solutions. In 1983, he accepted a position at Prudential Bache Securities, the predecessor of Wells Fargo Advisors. By the late 1990s, Jerry was at the forefront of the Rep as PM investment advisor approach and continues to leverage this approach with his clients today. Starting in 1998 until 2003, he served as branch manager of Prudential Securities. After working at Wells Fargo for 35 years, serving as the managing director of investments and senior PIM manager, Jerry proudly joined Raymond James in 2018. His decision was inspired by the firm’s focus on providing advisors the tools and resources they need to help meet client objectives without the distractions of a parent company.
As a teenager, Jerry attained the rank of Eagle Scout. A graduate of Belmont Abbey College, Jerry earned his Bachelor of Arts in 1968 and his Master of Arts in 1977 from Kean University. During his college years, he played soccer for the Belmont Abbey College team and competed in the 1967 NAIA National Final Four Tournament. As a result of his athletic achievements, Jerry was inducted into the Belmont Abbey Athletic Hall of Fame in 2015. He also coached varsity soccer throughout the 1970s at Saint Joseph High School, helping his team win four Parochial A State Championships and retiring from coaching with over 100 victories.
Originally from Elizabeth, New Jersey, Jerry remains in his home state and lives in Scotch Plains with his wife, Lynn. Together, they have two children, Lauren and Russell, both of whom have followed their father’s footsteps and work alongside him as financial advisors. A lifelong runner who competed in the 1990 New York City Marathon, Jerry remains active and partakes in the annual Spring Lake 5 Mile Run every summer. He enjoys spending time at the Jersey Shore with his four grandchildren and cheering on the New York Mets, which he has avidly supported since the team’s founding in 1962.
