With over 50 years of accounting and business experience, Lindsay has dedicated over 23 years of experience in the financial services industry to provide knowledgeable financial guidance for his clients. As a team, Lindsay and Chuck Sherman design and manage investment portfolios tailored to the needs and long-term objectives of families, individuals and businesses. Diligent and personable, he enjoys working closely with each client throughout the financial planning process.
In 2023, Lindsay was named to the Raymond James Chairman’s Council, an honor presented annually to a select group of advisors reflecting their achievements.* Lindsay was named to the 2026 edition of the Forbes list of Top Wealth Advisors Best-in-State†. Reid Sherman Investment Group was also recognized by Forbes on 2026 list of Best-In-State Wealth Management Teams††. Before joining Raymond James, Lindsay was a Senior Vice President with Wells Fargo Advisors. Prior to his career at Wells Fargo, Lindsay spent more than 20 years as president of a regional grain exporter managing six grain elevators based on the Mississippi River.
Lindsay began his professional career as an accountant with an accounting firm in Paducah, KY before joining the Kentucky Department of Revenue as a Principal Revenue Auditor where he specialized in multi-state corporate income tax. Lindsay earned a bachelor’s degree in accountancy from Murray State University.
An active member of his community, Lindsay serves on the board of directors for the Midsouth Grain Inspection Service and the Midsouth Grain Association. He is a member of the University of Mississippi Vaught Society and the Oxford Rotary Club, as a Paul Harris Fellow.
Lindsay enjoys spending time with his wife Neicy, his two children, Mark Reid and Adair Laney, and their families, Daughter-in-Law Becky Reid, Son-in-Law Dr. Cal Laney and his grandchildren, Collier Reid, Cadyn Reid, Jack Laney, Lucy Laney, Reid Laney, and Mary Lyles Laney. In his spare time, as a licensed commercial pilot, he enjoys flying airplanes, boating on Pickwick Lake and attending many Ole Miss events.
Originally from Symsonia, Kentucky, Lindsay has lived in Mississippi since 1978.
