Bill Wescott joined Raymond James Financial Services, Inc. as an advisor in 2010, following many years working for VALIC, an insurance company specializing in retirement plans for not-for-profit institutions. Before moving to Lynchburg in 1992, he was a vice president in commercial banking in Richmond.
Bill and his wife, Phebe, reside in Lynchburg and have two grown children who live with their families in the Atlanta and Philadelphia areas. Bill has been active in church work for many years and is also on the board of his condominium association at Wintergreen.
The move to Raymond James has been very rewarding as Bill has not been encumbered by the demands and sales goals of an employer and can put his clients’ interests first. His professional goal is to continue to serve clients who understand the value of having a dedicated and trusted financial advisor who can help them achieve financial independence.
