Jon Tait has been with Raymond James since 2001 and became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional in 2012.
Cash flow analysis is one aspect of financial planning that has interested Jon from the beginning. While at the Raymond James' home office in St. Petersburg, FL, Jon assisted two analysts in analyzing approximately 40-50 consumer-related companies. Jon now assists his clients by identifying short, intermediate and long term goals and then creating a budget and investment policy targeting those needs.
Jon’s father, Terry, who established the New Bern Branch under Raymond James in 1997, believed a financial planner should not only improve client financial health, but also strengthen the surrounding community. Jon is a charter member of the Leland Area Rotary Club and currently serves as President. Jon also serves as Trustee to the Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center. Additionally, from 2011 to 2015 Jon was an elected official as Councilman for the Town of Leland.
Jon enjoys spending time with his wife, Kristin and their son, Turner. They enjoy time outdoors while walking the dog, running and biking.
Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, and in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board's initial and ongoing certification requirements.
