Teryn Mendez has a diverse employment history from which she draws in her role as office manager for the RLM Wealth Group.
Born in Omaha, Nebraska, Teryn has lived in Riverside since she was 3 years old. She obtained her Associate of Arts and Science degrees from Riverside Community College before transferring to California State University, San Bernardino, where she graduated magna cum laude and received her bachelor’s degree in mathematics.
After college, Teryn worked with special needs children at Jurupa Unified School District for three years. As the educator, it was a position that taught her valuable lessons in patience, compassion, and rewards.
Her career changed paths when she accepted a position as a congressional representative, participating in meetings, delivering speeches, and attending functions on behalf of the elected official. Additionally, Teryn worked as an accounting clerk for the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce, where she was responsible for the financial management of event funds.
Her teaching, community, and political experiences formed a solid foundation for her work in the financial industry. Teryn’s strengths in mathematics, customer service, and identifying fine details have elevated the company’s ability to develop more in-depth, cohesive financial plans for clients.
She is currently working towards her certifications to become a licensed financial advisor with the company.
She fosters relationships with clients, beyond portfolios. She strives to help clients feel at ease discussing their financial future with her and works to develop a trust, on both a professional and personal level. Connecting with clients as friends is an added benefit Teryn has come to value in her job.
In her position, Teryn enjoys working with the community on initiatives that strengthen the area. She and her husband, Bob, founder and CEO of RLM Wealth Group, are active with the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce and sponsorship opportunities throughout the Inland Empire.
In her free time, Teryn enjoys working out, hiking, traveling and constantly learning new things from others.
