Bob Mendez has built a successful career in wealth management supported by a diligent work ethic instilled by his father and the discipline he adopted from his service in the United States Navy.

The founder of RLM Wealth Group, which he launched in Riverside in 2009, Bob is a Chartered Financial Consultant®, Registered Principal, and Retirement Income Certified Professional®.

His interest in the industry began in his childhood, growing up in the small town of Defiance, Ohio. It was there he recognized his interest and strength in mathematics. He was intrigued during visits with his father to the local brokerage firm to cash in shares of stock from General Motors, where he worked as a supervisor.

Following his discharge from the Navy, Bob has accumulated 30 years of experience as a financial advisor. He has worked for several financial companies, including Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, and Smith Barney. For the last 13 years, he has been tailoring investment strategies and services for pre-retirees, retirees, individuals, families, and business owners. His financial services range from future wealth planning to portfolio and risk management.

Outside of the office, Bob is committed to his involvement in the local community, a trait he also credits to his father, who was a deacon of the local Catholic church in Ohio. Bob has been an active member of the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce, serving as chair for 2023-2024. He also served on the City of Riverside’s Budget Engagement Commission, chairing the committee for the first three years. Bob is a member of the Honorary Commanders, which is a civilian organization that supports March Air Reserve Base. He graduated from Leadership Riverside, Class of 2013.

Bob and his wife, Teryn, are sponsors of the Riverside Military Wall of Honor and Riverside Art Museum’s, “The Cheech”, which recently opened in 2022 and highlights over 300 pieces of artwork collected by the comedian.

Bob and his wife, who serves as office manager for RLM Wealth Group, enjoy an active lifestyle, including working out, hiking the Grand Canyon, and exploring the natural beauty of places throughout their travels.
