Janice D. Gilliam Administrative Assistant, Raymond James Financial Services

"I am never too busy to stop and help the person I am speaking with either on the telephone or in person. I truly love meeting so many different and interesting people, and I strive to make each client feel comfortable in knowing their business is important to us and appreciated. I want them to know I am here to serve their needs as best as I can."

Janice has been her team's administrative assistant for almost three decades, originally joining in 1990. Always a people person, she takes pride in helping establish and maintain client accounts along with the many other various responsibilities that come with keeping our office running smoothly. Clients usually hear her voice first when calling the office, and she enjoys the opportunity to assist them with operational questions. Before joining our team, she spent five years as a transcriptionist with W.H. Trentman Mental Health Center and then worked another five years as a Utilities Clerk with the Town of Louisburg.

A lifelong resident of North Carolina, she lives in Louisburg with her husband, Tim. Together, they have three grown children (Susan, Raynor, and Morgan) and four beautiful grandchildren. Aside from being a fulltime wife, mom, and grandmother while working a full time job, her next greatest accomplishment and the next greatest blessing in her life is being a breast cancer survivor. With a new prospective on life and how quickly it can change, her favorite hobbies are simply spending time with and spoiling her family on land and water. She loves to relax with her husband on their pontoon boat while catching a few fish or pulling the kids on the back as they enjoy tubing at the lake. When not at the office or on the water, her next favorite place is in her yard and flower garden. A bout with cancer makes you realize how short life can be and she loves to make the most out of anything and everything she does. The first thing you will see when you walk into our office is a sign that reads "Faith, Family, and Friends." Like the rest of our team, that not only applies to our office but to our personal life as well.
