Tim's broad financial services career started in 1983 at PaineWebber in Bangor, Maine. He soon found himself specializing in municipal bonds and other fixed-income securities for Fleet Securities, eventually becoming vice president of Wachovia Bank's municipal bond department. In 1994, he began to channel his deep industry knowledge into a new role as a financial advisor for Wheat First Securities. A year later, he joined the Cary office of Resource Management Associates, serving clients in the Western Wake area.
His education, too, is vast and varied. In 1975, Tim earned a bachelor's in economics from the College of the Holy Cross in Massachusetts, and then went on attend the University of Maine, where he earned a degree in forestry management. He furthered his financial planning education at Boston University, where he was honored with a Certificate in Investment Planning.
Although he is originally from Croton-on-Hudson, New York, he has a deep and abiding affinity for the Triangle area where he has lived with his wife, Maureen, since 1988. They believe North Carolina is a fantastic place to raise a family, so much so that their children, Patrick, Brendan and Deirdre, have each attended North Carolina colleges. Tim actively volunteers on behalf of several local organizations and boards, including the Performance Edge Board of Directors, the Morrisville Chamber of Commerce and the Morrisville Rotary Club, Habitat for Humanity and Adopt-A-Highway. A classical pianist, Tim also enjoys traveling around the world, golfing, boating and flying.
